SeaTorbay: a coastal management partnership for Torbay

Please note: Sea Torbay, is currently not actively running, due to funding constraints. It is hoped in the future if funding becomes available the partnership will actively meet again. If you would like to contact the steering group of the partnership this can be done via infoatseatorbay [dot] org [dot] uk

SeaTorbay is a voluntary local coastal management partnership, which was established in 2008 to bring together a broad range of coastal stakeholders and help take a more coordinated approach to the management of Tor Bay.  SeaTorbay’s vision is to work together to create a sustainable marine environment and economy for Tor Bay.

The coastal waters of Tor Bay are an immensely valuable asset. The Harbour is an important economic resource with major fishing and tourism interests, it has a high environmental quality, with its designation as a candidate Special Area of Conservation the latest evidence of this.  Tor Bay plays a huge part in the identity of the local community and is the focus for much of its recreation.

Membership of the Forum is open to organisations and individuals that support the vision of Sea Torbay. The SeaTorbay Constitution is available to view as a PDF file.

If you would like to find out more about the partnership or to become a member please email infoatseatorbay [dot] org [dot] uk.

Newsflash: We are very happy to announce the launch of the Torbay Coastal Zone Management Plan. Thank you to all the stakeholders for their input and support. To view a copy of the plan please click on Torbay Coastal Zone Management Plan.
